Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actress and singer. After beginning her acting career as a stage actress in the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. She then appeared in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and received high praise for her performance in the drama television film Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was the title character in the teen noir drama TV series Veronica Mars (2004-2007), receiving praise from critics and a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance. She reprised the role in the 2014 film and the renewal in 2019. Bell starred from 2007 to 2008 in the role of Elle Bishop in Heroes, an action-packed superhero series. She played the character of the title narrator in the series for teens called Gossip Girl, reprising the role in the sequel in 2021. Bell was also Showtime comedian House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This part was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. Bell played the character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the streaming series The Woman in the Home Across the Street From the Girl in the Window.
